Rates
At Stratus Mental Health Center, we strive to provide the best care possible. We do not participate in insurance networks so we can base our recommendations on what people need, not on what an insurance plan allows. We do provide insurance-friendly "superbill" statements; these include the information insurance companies typically require so that you can submit claims to be reimbursed for out-of-network services. Families with a PPO plan are usually able to obtain partial reimbursement from their insurer based on their "out-of-network" benefits. Below is more information about our sliding scale services.
Reduced fee services
Stratus Mental Health Center is dedicated to eliminating inequality in the mental health system, including financial barriers to high-quality, evidence-based treatments. We offer sliding scale fee reductions as one part of this mission. Reduced rates are reserved for low-income families without access to other financial resources and/or support. Fees may be reduced as much as 90% for a single service, or more if a family receives multiple services per week at Stratus.
How to apply
If you wish to apply for a fee reduction, we request that you provide:
-
Documentation of your total family income (Federal tax return or equivalent)
-
The number of legal dependents for which you are financially responsible and claim on your tax return.
-
Current out-of-pocket monthly mental health expenses.
After review of these documents, if your family qualifies, we will offer a revised fee for you to consider before deciding whether to proceed with the services we recommend.
